What I Do?

I work primarily with leaders and organizations to strengthen emotional intelligence, decision-making, and psychologically healthy, high-functioning workplace systems. I also support individuals across the lifespan in improving how they regulate, perform, and respond to the demands of their environment.

My work is structured across two primary streams: leadership and organizational development, and performance and behavioral development.

Leadership and organizational development focuses on strengthening emotional intelligence, decision-making, and psychologically healthy, high-functioning workplace systems. This work examines how behavior, leadership practices, and organizational environments interact to shape culture, safety, and performance.

Performance and behavioral development focuses on building the underlying capacity for regulation, awareness, and adaptive behavior, and applying these principles to support consistency, resilience, and effectiveness under pressure across the lifespan.

While these areas may appear different, they are grounded in a shared focus on how behavior and performance emerge from the interaction between the nervous system and the environment.

Most organizations don't struggle because they lack systems they struggle because systems alone don't change behavior. My work is grounded in an empirically-based, developmentally informed perspective, with a primary focus on leadership and organizational functioning. I focus on the underlying patterns that influence behavior and decision-making, rather than only addressing surface-level signs, symptoms, or outcomes.

This includes integrating knowledge from developmental psychology, nervous system regulation, behavioral science, and psychological health and safety to support more adaptive, effective, and sustainable behavior across both individuals and systems.

Across all areas, I am particularly interested in how environments and situational demands — whether organizational, performance-based, or developmental — can either support or unintentionally disrupt effective behavior, decision-making, and performance.

My
Approach

Background & Experience

I hold a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology and have over 20 years of experience working across human development, behavior, and psychological and occupational health and safety.

My work draws on a foundation in psychology, health and safety, kinesiology, and athletic therapy, providing a strong basis for understanding the integration of physical, emotional, cognitive, and social processes in human behavior and performance. This is further supported by advanced training in reflex integration (MNRI), which informs my approach to developmental and regulatory functioning across the lifespan.

Building on this foundation, my work has evolved to focus primarily on leadership development and psychological health and safety within organizational settings. I support leaders and organizations in strengthening emotional intelligence, improving decision-making, and creating psychologically healthy, high-functioning workplace systems.

This work is supported by certifications as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) and an EQ-i 2.0 Assessor and Coach.

My Perspective

I am particularly interested in working with leaders and organizations in moving beyond surface-level solutions toward a deeper understanding of how behavior and connection influence leadership effectiveness and develop an organizational culture that fosters health, safety, wellbeing, and overall performance.

This perspective also extends to individual development and high-level performance, recognizing that meaningful and sustainable change requires addressing the underlying patterns that shape how we think, respond, function, and interact.

This approach supports more effective, sustainable growth and change — whether strengthening leadership and workplace culture, enhancing performance under pressure, or supporting development across the lifespan.

If you're interested in learning more about how this approach could apply to your situation, I’d be happy to connect.
